| Cinemas have not revealed the expected "hot summer movies" yet, so I went to this. Yes, it's a girl movie, but sometimes it can be enjoyable. This had its bright spots. The female lead, Michelle Monaghan, was fantastic. Not only that she is pretty, but it has a strong atmosphere that makes its appeal, too. A man could imagine that's good to know someone as a character. Jack Dempsey had his skills, too --- but his character was less than attractive. Well the plot is so implausible that it is difficult to buy into it and take it seriously, or Dempsey character was written as such a jerk who had no patience for him, not sympathy. I was encouraging her romantic rival, the Scottish! He seemed to be better, better, more interesting, and not a donkey. I was disappointed in the end, when the Made of Honor Comedy film makers made the Scottish family, lovely people and a lot more interesting than the character Dempsey and his family, in a mild sort of "bad boy". It felt so contributed, and unnecessary. That sounded a false note. Therefore, "Made of Honor" swings and misses. Perhaps such "marriages" and the romantic Made of Honor Comedy movie "shaggy dog" stories can never be better than this. But I swear I've seen some who not only worked better, but they were very entertaining. This treaty, and it was horrible, but again, I liked the male lead, and the Made of Honor Comedy film makers obviously wanted to feel the opposite. But they failed. |
| Made of Honor enjoyed. Often, nice, well participation, the characters are nice, the story and pace. There is no real bad guy, the "villain" Dempsey is the lack of respect for themselves, their handling of sexual intimacies shallow, and their lack of understanding of himself - or his devotion to his old friend. I realized that once the idea is to Tom, Hannah during the trip to Scotland, who is in love - to stop playing. No 'own savings, "he is no longer interested in the non-attachment, free lifestyle of sex. Develops a conscience, which focuses its energy on the subject of the first girl I ever loved. There are many places that show Tom shallow convert player that is dedicated and in love. His attempts to sabotage the wedding plans and retrieve the girl he loves is warm - he knows that he has, and wants the best for Hannah. The guy who threaten their love for wanting to marry Hannah - Colin come to know as a responsible adult, a good perspective and a good man. Perhaps a bit faded, as seen from the standpoint of two friends, but not worse than that. So I admire the morale of the image, and emotional growth of the characters. Yet .. It strikes me that this is a rehash of Dempsey 'Loverboy' movie. Again we make Dempsey apparently consensual shallow intimate relationships, to win the girl of his heart. I expected cameos from Kate Jackson and Tia Carrere at any time. And the similarities distracted me a little. Made of Honor, but it is better to be schlock Loverboy. And more recently. He has a horse. |
| Another romantic comedy more. Not much to say about this movie, in fact, is not boring and the performances of Dempsey and Monaghan meet the standard required to make it tolerable in pairs, but the DivX film Made of Honor falls into the same number of places we have seen in other Manufactured by so the DivX film Made of Honor lost honor among many films of the genre and at the end of it offers nothing new. Neither idea is the most original jokes or the most successful, in fact, the plot falls into a sexual abuse of humor that sometimes unnecessary and that the results will only be used to start a laughter of a story that had no where to find the funny. In fact, the Made of Honor Comedy is the DVD film Made of Honor for a Sunday at home with a bag of popcorn and let the rest of the brain from the pressures of the week. The Made of Honor Comedy movie is simple, from beginning to end, and that is his greatest success as it is not intended to be what is not. It's just entertainment. |
